First thing. First let’s talk about what documents are needed. The first document that you require is going to be your PASSWPORTD and PASSWPORTD has to be valid for at least six months and it should have two blank pages. So if you do not have these, go and apply for renewal of your passport and in case if you have old passport you need to attach that as well. Also you would need photocopy of the front and back of the passport. Next you are going to require two passport size photograph on a wide background dimension of which is going to be two inches by two inches. Third duly filled visa application form and this form you can download it from the VFS side and I have given the link in description box as well. On the day of appointment take all your documents and visit the VFS Center where you have put your appointment. Now here what you’re going to do is submit your documents. Along with that you will have to pay visa fee now Japan visafie is only rupees 500 yes. How cool is that that four rupees 500 you get five year to visa that’s like 100 rookpees per year right. It is pretty cheap so you have to pay that and along with that you have to also pay VFS Agency fee which is 600 and 50 RU PS in this case higher than the visa cost. But this is what it is. Importantly here is that you need to carry cash because at VFS centers they might not accept UPA or credit card or any other card as well. Right.
Now once the embassy has received the application they’ll work on this and if they have additional doubts what they are also going to do is they are going to call you for a small? I would say. Visa interview.
Now in my case got I received a call from Embassy where they asked about what is my purpose of travel? What is the duration of the travel, who I am going with and all of those stuff? So I clearly answered about all of these things. They also wanted to know about the how does it look like ET etc. So be sure that when you are submitting the application you know the identity, how you are going to follow day by day. In my case it was like five days into Oqo, three days in ko et etcetera. So I explained everything to them. They also inquired about my spouse that if she’s traveling, what is she doing right now? Where is she working and all of those things? So once they have verified and they have asked all of these questions. What in our case what happened that in next two days we received a status update that your visa has been processed and you can come and collect the passport.
